I'm hoping they over look it. We had to strip off a lot of last years berries by hand this spring (they don't stay purple...they end up looking like little shriveled raisins) because nothing ate them. We have put a birdbath right near them, so the birds do have a front row view of all those berries, so who knows.
It's one of my favorites too. We planted it last year during the drought (got them on sale probably because of the drought) and it was loaded with berries last year. This year is looking like we'll get a similar show!
Beautyberry is so pretty. I wonder how long before the Mockingbirds find it!
