They all are. I can't count how many times I have had to conduct a serious turtle or tortoise hunt trying to located someone who decided to hide in a new spot.
She's in a pile of weeds and grasses. The turtles like to dig around in them to catch bugs. We've been so cold this week that all three three-toed box turtles and the gulf coast seem to have dug-in for the winter. I saw the dessert walking around this morning. They aren't down permanently yet. It will get warm again here for sure.
He's pretty good at playing hide and seek!
