I learned about it in a tree ID class I took in 2004 from one of the community colleges in Dallas. I've always wanted one and a a volunteer of the Plant Geek brought him one as a gift. We moved it to our current house when we moved because they aren't very common in the nursery trade. They sometimes can be found at native plant sales in our area.
