A Beautiful moth. I can see why walnut is in the name.
They like nut trees. We only have a pecan, and that isn't listed on any of their host plant lists I saw, but I guess a pecan tree will do in a pinch.

Very cool! I love moths (as long as they aren't the invasive kind!) They have such neat ways of camouflaging.
It was pretty cool. I've noticed a recent upswing in moths and butterflies in the garden. It must be the time of year.
